Looking forward to December

Monday 2nd December

What a good week it has been at the Calon Lan Centre.

Sunday saw a special recording session in the chapel – a favourite for recording artists due to the amazing acoustics. This time, it was the turn of the famous Morriston Orpheus Choir, who will be releasing very soon their next recorded offering. This special private recording session was filmed by the BBC. See our bookings page if you would like to contact us about your own group recording or performing inside the widely acclaimed chapel.

Flora & Fauna

We’ve planted 800 daffodil and crocus bulbs in the chapel grounds – they’ll look lovely in the spring! Grounds renovation hasn’t just been limited to the flora and fauna, though. We’ve been working hard on laying the forecourt which will make access easier to all – we’re hoping that’s all done by Christmas.

Speaking of Christmas, wow it’s not far away now!

It’s worth reminding you that our Carols by Candlelight Concert is on, next Wednesday 11th December from 7:00pm! All are invited as we will be treated to our favourite carols, led by the Grenfel Singers in the wonderful chapel, what a joyful sound we’ll make! Admission is free, though we will be taking up a Christmas collection for the ongoing work for the Chapel and heritage project. There will be refreshments including our festive mince pies!
