Last year we were approached by Beth Pike who is our Local Area Coordinator who told us about a group she was working with From Forget me not.
Forget day clubs are a registered charity that provide dementia support in the form of weekly groups, they were looking for a piece of land they could use for a garden project, and The Trustees decided it would be a lovely addition to the project.
To kick-start the project, the group were supported to apply for funding and resources. Working together, they were awarded huge amounts of recourses and supplies from Keep Wales Tidy, and are currently in the process of building greenhouses, sheds, poly-tunnels, raised beds and more.
The Forget Me Not group are working hard to transform the land into a beautiful growing space for members and the wider community. They are passionate about people having the opportunity to surround themselves with nature, spending time outdoors connecting with others; both of which support physical and mental wellbeing.
