It is with great sadness we report the passing of our minister Reverend Grenville Fisher on the 19th of December. Over the last few months Grenville has fought serious illness and despite his fierce determination to keep going he passed away after treatment in Morriston hospital surrounded by family and close friends. This Bible was used by Gwyrosydd when he was staying in Herbert Street. The Chapel that features in his famous poem Blae Mae’r Amen. Gwyrosydd is believed to of first performed the hymn Calon Lan in a service at Bethania Chapel shortly after he had composed it.

Last summer we installed two beautiful stained-glass panels of St John and St Peter, these were originally in Philadelphia  chapel Morriston, The Philadelphia sadly closed some time ago, and the panels were kindly donated to Mynyddbach Chapel. We have recently commissioned W and A Boggis Organ Builders to undertake further renovations to our pipe organ, Some years ago, we installed a Midi organ, from Nottingham MIDI Organs and this forms the basis of the existing instrument to which the remaining part of the organ will be incorporated. Last year we were lucky to receive funding through the Welsh Governments Community Facilities Programme with this funding and some additional donations. We have been able to upgrade our toilets and heating systems, we now have lovely modern central heating boiler and hot water to our new toilets We also have a new accessible toilet
